Leicester City fans notice what Jamie Vardy did to Harry Maguire after second goal vs Man Utd
Leicester City have had a happier time since their return to action after the international break.
Brendan Rodgers’ side have scored eight goals in the last two games against Manchester United and Spartak Moscow in the Premier League and Europa League.
The first four of those goals came against the Red Devils at the King Power Stadium last week as City came out as 4-2 winners in a game that will live long in the memory.
Goals from Youri Tielemans, Caglar Soyuncu, Jamie Vardy and Patson Daka ensured that City took all three points from the match.
It’s in the aftermath of Soyuncu’s goal, which gave City a second half lead, where fans have noticed part of Vardy’s celebration.
After Soyuncu finds the net from Ayoze Perez’s rebound, the City squad wheel away in celebration, while Vardy goes to join his teammates, he finds a little bit of time to gently tap former City defender Harry Maguire on the back and glance at him before joining in the celebrations.
That hasn’t gone unnoticed by City fans on social media, who have pointed out the celebration when watching a replay of the goal.
Maguire was a major doubt for the game but made his return to a full King Power Stadium for the first time since completing a £80 million move away in the summer of 2019.
The defender didn’t have the happiest of returns, being robbed of the ball for Tielemans’ equaliser as well as playing Soyuncu onside for the second goal.
City are back in Premier League action on Sunday when they take on newly-promoted Brentford at the Brentford Community Stadium.
